Gannett KNEW the Leaf was GOING to Fail They Let 2 Federal Budgets Pass Without Reporting the Story

Mark Silverman has known the leaf is not going to sell... Ghson took money from 5 countries Japan, France, UK, Portugal and USA to build a capacity for 500,ooo cars a year.... the demand in the USA las month was 692. Nissan told it's shareholders their goal was to sell 250,000 a year and that would mean that 1/2 the jobs promised would NOT happen. NISSAN kept taking money from a DOE loan program knowing the car would fail........ 3 men at Renault were accused of being spies... I knew they were not spies and did this press release....

OMG
Also, one of our business reporter has been test driving a Leaf all week. He almost was stranded because battery life isn't what it's supposed to be, even when new. Story to come in a week or two.

Get This!!! Mr. Tavares met on a saturday less that a few weeks "after" I emailed this to him. We met that day in May for over 3 hours.
OMG!! This "freaked out" Mr. Kelly!!! & Marlin Chapman Nissan North America's Director of HR was questioning WHY I was talking to him so long. HR was nervous.
My "thought" ??? WHY were they SO nervous that I was talking to Mr. Tavares.

??? Think about this
Here I am the relocation consultant sending "odd" emails to the number 2 of Nissan globally. He's giving me riddles in response. I got a call in June 2009 from a NIssan employee telling me my "thoughts" were welcome. When IT was sent to block my emails from Mr. Tavares computer he told them NOT to block them. I was told that Mr. Tavares insisted that my emails would be allowed through the system.
Greg Kelly got nervous when I figured out the "code" names:
The General~Prime Minester~Santa
Santa is the VP of HR..., He gave away the "goody's that were coming from hidden cost centers funded by the Tennessee taxpayer...... WOW!!!
Thus the slandering and attacks started on me started in spring 2009. NOW you know WHY.
For the record for months I tried to hand over a list of unethical acts and NOBODY wanted it. I have that documented. Tomorrow I will send an email to you with one of those emails.
NISSAN HR retaliated agaisnt me for whistle blowing & did not help me with my references or training like they had promised. I started the blog on my 44th birthday on June 4th 2009, from Starbucks.
FYI-I told Mr. Tavares is would take me 2 months to "expose" the bad behavior". I WAS WRONG!!!!
I did not know the corruption went to the tippy top. I "thought" it was Saikawa. Viewers' of my blog told me it was Ghosn. I have proof.
Call me French Consulate 615-415-6675.
The HR executives at NIssan were going "crazy" when they thought I might be "catching on" to the games that they were playing. I played along too. I admit it I was mad that hey were WASTING taxpayer money and I was mad. I was asked AT TAXPAYER EXPENSE to find a spa for a French executive to get Oxygen Facial. In Spring of 2009 when Mark Stout the VP of Human Resources called me into his office TWICE. AFTER the Director of HR TWICE fired me. Then the VP fired me 2 more times. This is "after Mr. Tavares told them I was EXCEPTIONAL!!!
??? How do you fire someone 4 times. I don't get it!!!!!
Anyway, like I said MANY times on my blog www.girlintheblackhonda.com that Mark Stout interrogated me. He kept trying to find out what I knew. HR got frustrated with me. HR wanted me to so something unethical to prove I was a "team player" & I did NOT do it. HR got nervous because I did NOT take a kickback on the lease of the home of Mr. Tavares like i was asked to do by Marlin Chapman. I did NOT take money to be silent like I was asked to do by Mark Stout. Instead I SPOKE for what was morally right. I found out a lot because Nissan employees current & former KNEW I was ethical and KNEW I had the ear of Carlos Tavares. These people used me as a conduit to get information to the high level leader. They used me as a "tool for change" in the corporate culture. I let that happen because I want success in Tennessee. That is WHY I told Mr. Tavares to bring the Rogue to Tennessee. It looks like the leaf is going be "slow" to catch on in America. At least until Mr. Tavares can find a solution to the battery degradation problem. Numbers for the leaf MUST be limited until that is resolved.
NISSAN was on a downward spiral and Carlos Tavares shifted_ the nose of the plane in the upward position. If it were not for Carlos Tavares and his team that has worked 24/7 NISSAN would have followed in GM's foot prints. Bankruptcy would have happened.
My "thought" unlike GM Nissan might NOT have gotten "bailouts" like Ghosn/Thormann most likely wanted. Even with the "elite" buddies that Jim Morton nurtured like Haley Barbour.
I believe Nissan could have become a "trivia question" kind of like:
??? What was Pan Am.
??? What was TWA.
Well meaning politicians like Senators Corker and Alexander might have said "Sorry Boy's America is tapped out"....Even though NISSAN is in Tennessee Corker and Alexander are Republicans and what I love about the Republican party is the ability to stand up for what is morally right in reference to "wasteful spending". Still I wish they'd do better with HEALTH CARE!!!! That is WHY the American system is beautiful. We have a checks and balance system. One the "should promote transparency" .
France I'm booking ANOTHER trip to DC. I'm gonna lobby for the taxpayer. I want the EV to succeed BUT if NISSAN does not "come clean" and get rid of Ghosn I'm gonna POUNCE!!!!
Have a Great Day!!!

“Mr. Tavares & some Japanese board members did NOT want to create an EV “until” the technology was ready. They also did NOT want to make the move to Tennessee.” Sharyn Bovat
“I believe MAZDA yesterday announced they are producing an EV is a way to ‘offset’ the damage that could be done to Japan when this story breaks”

In Japan, Mazda Steps Up Its E.V. Intent

By JONATHAN SCHULTZ
…Before Monday, Mazda could not muster even a wan embrace of hybrid or electric-vehicle technology, ceding that buzzing high ground to fellow Japanese brands Toyota and Nissan, as well as to Ford, Volkswagen, General Motors and virtually every other major automaker with a shred of public-relations acumen…..
Ghosn has HURT the reputation of NISSAN and Renault Reputation with CHINA. I believe Mr. Saikawa… is the “link” to the accusation.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy has also instigated an investigation by French intelligence, and this process is threatening Sino-French relations, which have been strained, despite China denying involvement. Industry Minister Eric Besson stated on French radio recently that Renault could have opted to work with authorities on this pressing matter rather than confine the investigation to within the company.
By the way:
??? Where is Mr. Saikawa. He dropped off one of the Renault charts and his title has “changed”.
??? Wonder Why.
NISSAN has NO current “technology” to steal. Ghosn was trying to get people in India to create an “affordable battery”
Renault Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Carlos Ghosn, who is spearheading the electric car initiative. His passion on this subject was evident during a visit to India in end-2009.
Interestingly, he added that a joint research could be contemplated with top institutions such as the IITs in battery technology.
"I would be very interested in any battery project which is simple and affordable. I would encourage focus on a low-cost battery which can go into the common car," Mr Ghosn said If Ghosn already had an “affordable” battery he would NOT have said those words in late 2009!!!!
Mr. Tavares and some Japanese board members ( I believe Shiga) did NOT want to create an EV “until” the technology was ready. They also did NOT want to make the move to Tennessee.
Ghosn used the relocation to Tennessee as a way to “dismiss” employees that would NOT play along with the scam. Mr. Morton was the “organizer” ,…. More soon.
Mr. Ghosn strong armed them into doing both THUS possibly destroying the company and the reputation of the Japanese Auto Industry. France could become a “joke” in the eye’s of the world.
(Sharyn Bovat was told to subpoena those that took money to be silent. I think that’s what the American government should do.)
“I believe that some of MY former NISSAN relocation clients who went back to France to work at Renault are involved in creating this ‘ficticious’ spy scandal. They are directly connected to Mr. Saikawa and Mr. Ghosn” Sharyn Bovat
Here’s an article about the Renault Spy Scandal going on in Paris from the Wall Street Journal:

"I would like to reaffirm that I have never had a Swiss bank account, I have never received any money, I have always been loyal to this company and I am determined not to be a scapegoat in this matter," Bertrand Rochette,
That is why Ghosn is so wishy washy on words during his interview.
The $$$ for Japan and most likely why they invested with NISSAN is in the chargers FYI The chargers are important infrastructure that the US government is paying for. ‘If” the EV’s on the road use those charges will they ONLY be a good investments.
Most likey Mazda will make a car that uses the ChaDeMo System. America will be forced to buy Japanese cars “if” those are the chargers in place. My understanding is the the FORD EV will not work with the ChaDeMo system.
American EV’s will the the “main stream” EV in America…. We’re America. Since NISSAN is not making the Leaf a success ( at least not until they have the battery technology the chargers are a waste of money)
FYI- I’ve contacted the French consulate and requested a meeting with the Consular General of San Francisco. I will PROVE the Renault Three are INNOCENT. What Renault has done to the lives of 3 people is morally WRONG!!! My life has been miserable after they “trumped up” charges to discredit me and tossed me in jail 3 time. www.girlintheblackhonda.com
Renault CEO Tells Sky It’s Too Early to Point Fingers on Leaks
By Blanche Gatt - Jan 24, 2011 2:14 PM CT
Renault SA Chief Executive Officer Carlos Ghosn told Sky News it was “too early to start to point fingers” in the leaks of the company’s electric car business model. He’s ALREADY pointed fingers!!!
Ghosn said in an interview he would leave it up to “justice” to determine who was responsible for the leaks that led the company to fire three employees and file a criminal complaint of industrial espionage. Ghosn will be GONE March 31st and these 3 executies will deal with MONTHS of stress and they will have LOST their reputations
Ghosn, who also runs alliance partner Nissan Motor Co., said 2011 will be a “year of growth” for the company and he’s “very optimistic about the evolution of the Nissan sales, particularly the Nissan sales sourced in the U.K.”. Ghosn Just wants the STOCK PRICE of the companies to increase before HE and his group of “elite executives” CASH OUT
Production of the Nissan Leaf, which will be built in the company’s Sunderland, England, plant from 2013, will generate “a lot of jobs” in the U.K., Ghosn said
Please read articles about the Renault Three

France: I will PROVE the Renault Three are INNOCENT
The spying scandal at Renault threatened to harm France's improving relationship with China, when a government source said intelligence services were looking into a possible connection to China, as part of initial checks before an official probe was launched.
The French government has since played down the possibility of a link to China, saying it is not accusing any one country of involvement, while China has denied any link to the case.
Separately, Bertrand Rochette, one of the three executives dismissed over the scandal, said he felt "betrayed" and still had not been shown any element of proof against him.
"It's now been three weeks and I have nothing concrete on what my dismissal is based on, what could explain it," he told a news conference on Monday morning.
"I would like to reaffirm that I have never had a Swiss bank account, I have never received any money, I have always been loyal to this company and I am determined not to be a scapegoat in this matter," he said.
Nissan Slows Leaf's Production
By Rachel Smith
Posted: Jan 25, 2011 09:37 a.m.
Consumers on the Nissan Leaf’s waiting list have waited a long time to get their hands on one of few all-electric cars on the market, and according to Kicking Tires, shoppers will have to wait even longer.
“We’ve already reported on some of the initial supply constraints Nissan is having with its Leaf, and the delays will continue for the next few months to come, according to a company spokesman,” writes Kicking Tires.
According to Nissan, 20,000 Americans have already signed up for the Leaf. With so many people waiting in line, what’s with the delay? The Detroit Bureau spoke with Nissan’s Chief US spokesman David Reuter, who stated that Nissan has slowed production “‘to get it absolutely perfect and make sure there’s no perception the car isn’t ready for market.’” The Bureau adds, “Nonetheless, he acknowledged that could lead to some frustration among anxious motorists – 20,000 of which have already placed preliminary orders for the compact, battery-powered sedan. Since its launch, last month, U.S. deliveries have only been ‘in the 100s,’ according to spokesman Reuter, who anticipated, ‘We’ll be getting up to normal production by April.’”
There are, however, good reasons for the delay. “The automaker is not only working with an all-new platform but a new electric-only powertrain,” says Kicking Tires. “Nissan wants to make sure that each lithium-ion battery pack that comes out of production meets automotive quality — a standard that is more rigorous than the battery in your laptop or cell phone.”
Of the 20,000 orders….. taken last summer in America at BEST only 100 have been filled. To make an order people ONLY needed to put down a $99 deposit.
Reauter PLEASE answer these questions for the American Tax Payers
??? How many of the 20,000 have asked for their money back.
??? How many Leafs will be “on the road” in America by the end of 2011
??? Is the Battery Plant in Smyrna “on target” and will it be FULLY operational building 200,000 batteries as NISSAN said it would by 2012.
Reporting from May26 2010 at the Groundbreaking ……Until the Smyrna facilities come online, there will only be one plant in Japan supplying Nissan LEAFs to the world with a production capacity of 50,000 vehicles annually. That will all change in 2012, when the Japanese facility is joined by Smyrna and other plants around the world, including a couple in Europe. At that point the production capacity for LEAFs and other Renault-Nissan EVs will jump from 50,000 to 500,000 per year............ When all’s said and done, the battery and LEAF production will create an additional 1,300 jobs. Nissan expects that the full capacity of the co-located plants will be about 200,000 batteries and 150,000 LEAFs each and every year”…….from an article by Nick Chambers.
If you aren’t one of the 20,000 on Nissan’s waiting list, odds are that you’ll wait a lot longer than April to even sign up for a Leaf. Nissan says, “We have completed the first phase of reservations. In order to provide the best level of customer service and premium ownership experience to the first Nissan LEAF drivers, we will not be accepting new reservations until the next phase begins. A subsequent phase of new reservations will begin next year, after current reservations and orders have been processed.”
“If” they do NOT take new orders till next year then it’s quite possible YOU will only have delivered 1000-2000 Leaf (s) to America. Some will Shift_ to the Ford Focus. Some will Shift_ to the Volt (which is INCREASING their availability) Some will Shift_ to CODA , Some will shift_ to the BYD ( which is cheaper a cuter) and Many will just get a Prius for they can TRUST Toyota.
??? How will YOU know the demand if you do NOT open it up to orders again until 2012 the SAME year you told the AMERICA and Tennessee that you’d be in ‘production” mode. I DON”T GET IT!!!
It’s irresponsible to build a plant that can produce 200,000 batteries “if” the demand for the product is NOT there.
“The Leaf and a related battery plant are expected to employ 1,300 people. Nissan did not say how many jobs it expects to be created by the Rogue”…. The is from the Nashville Business Journal
I “think” the ROGUE is going to keep workers in Tennessee busy.
.... "We need to reduce our exposure to the yen," Reuter said. ... Nissan is "still evaluating" whether additional employees would be needed, ...
While you can’t get a Leaf just yet, it’s a good idea to wait and see how the Leaf does once owners drive it for a few months. So far, the Leaf receives good performance reviews, but some members of the automotive press are wary about America’s inability to support electric cars due to limited charging stations. “Here comes the people’s electric car, America,” says the New York Times, “ready or not.” Electric cars are coming, and this is the perfect time to see how they fare.

Nissan Breaks Ground on Their U.S. Electric Car Battery Plant May 26, 2010 Nick Chambers
Editor of Gas 2.0 and sustainable transportation nut
The hot, sweltering Tennessee sun baked us under a big white-top tent this morning as Nissan dedicated the future site of their $1.7 billion dollar, state-of-the art Nissan LEAF battery plant in Smyrna. Encompassing 1.3 million square feet (22 American football fields), when the plant comes online in late 2012 it will be one of the largest battery facilities in North America.
Tennesee’s Governor, Phil Bredesen, was on hand along with Daniel Poneman, the Deputy Secretary of the US Department of Energy and Carlos Ghosn, Nissan’s CEO and President.
The plant will deliver batteries to Nissan LEAFs that are set to be assembled in the existing Smyrna vehicle assembly plant right next door. As the battery plant is constructed over the next year and a half, the vehicle assembly facility will be retooled to be able to add LEAFs into the production line alongside Altimas, Fronteras, X-Terras and Pathfinders. When all’s said and done, the battery and LEAF production will create an additional 1,300 jobs. Nissan expects that the full capacity of the co-located plants will be about 200,000 batteries and 150,000 LEAFs each and every year.
Until the Smyrna facilities come online, there will only be one plant in Japan supplying Nissan LEAFs to the world with a production capacity of 50,000 vehicles annually. That will all change in 2012, when the Japanese facility is joined by Smyrna and other plants around the world, including a couple in Europe. At that point the production capacity for LEAFs and other Renault-Nissan EVs will jump from 50,000 to 500,000 per year.
During a tour of the Smyrna vehicle assembly plant, we were told that Nissan will be able to maintain current production levels of all the vehicles they assemble there (the plant has actually been in continuous operation since 1981) and that the 150,000 LEAF capacity will be in addition to those.
In order to accommodate the special needs of assembling an electric vehicle, Nissan is using some serious creativity to make the inclusion of the LEAF alongside conventional vehicle assembly a virtually seamless endeavor. For instance, at the station where the fuel tank is normally brought in underneath a suspended vehicle, the LEAF will have its battery pack added. And at the station where the engine is brought in to the vehicle, the electric motor will be added. Other than that, the assembly of an electric vehicle is much simpler than a conventional one.
“Nissan is committed to affordable, sustainable mobility. What we’re doing here will radically transform the automotive experience for consumers. Today is a major step in helping create a green economy in the United States,” said Carlos Ghosn, president and CEO of Nissan. “Production of Nissan LEAF and lithium-ion batteries in Smyrna brings the United States closer to its goal of energy independence, creates green jobs and helps sustain American manufacturing. Nissan is a leader in global manufacturing innovation, and this state-of-the-art battery plant will strengthen that leadership.”
The battery assembly plant was spurred by a $1.4 billion, low-interest loan from the US Department of Energy as part of the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing Loan Program.

Renault-Nissan boss denies spy scandal was about technology

By John Lichfield in Paris
Monday, 24 January 2011
The boss of Renault-Nissan spoke out yesterday for the first time about allegations of industrial spying on his company's rapid advances in electric cars which shook the French-Japanese car giant this month.
Carlos Ghosn said that the espionage concerned the "economic model" of Renault's plans to dominate a $2,000bn world market in electric cars from next year. No specific technical secrets had been leaked, he said.
His comments – contradicting earlier hints that unpatented, technical advances may have been sold to China – will add to the confusion surrounding the Renault spy scandal. Lawyers representing three senior Renault executives, suspended earlier this month, say that there is no evidence they took money for handing over company secrets. They have started counter-actions for "defamation".
Renault-Nissan président-directeur général Mr Ghosn rejected suggestions that Renault had bungled the investigation by approaching a private detective rather than the French security services.
He refused to comment on suggestions - angrily denied by Beijing - that the leaks were inspired by economic interests in China. But he also rejected suggestions in the French press that the whole affair may have been an elaborate dirty-trick, mounted by unknown rivals, to throw doubt on innocent men and sabotage Renault's accelerating electric car programme.
"The target was our whole electric car strategy," he told the Journal du Dimanche. "There was total scepticism when we launched the programme in 2006. Now we are the only company in the world to manufacture, at the same time, electric car engines, the batteries and charging equipment. In an extremely competitive global industry, worth $2,000 billion, we naturally attract the interest of our competitors..."
Renault, with its Japanese partner Nissan, has invested over €4bn in trying to develop new generations of all-electric cars to match the price and performance of internal-combustion vehicles. Several models were unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show last year but the leaked secrets were said to concern a new generation of vehicles expected to enter the market in 2012-13.
According to the French press, they included unpatented advances in electric car engines and batteries.
But Mr Ghosn insisted yesterday that no "technical information" had leaked. The espionage concerned "our economic model", he said. Renault officials told the Journal du Dimanche that this embraced the costs and probable prices of electric cars and batteries, sales forecasts and production targets. Three senior Renault executives were suspended on 5 January. The company has started legal proceedings against "person unknown" for "industrial espionage, corruption, theft, receiving stolen goods and conspiracy".
Renault officials say that the affair began with an anonymous tip-off in a letter last August. A private detective and two company investigators were asked to start an inquiry.
Renault officials and lawyers say they identified off-shore bank accounts in Switzerland and Liechtenstein belonging to the three company executives with payments allegedly divided between the three men.
All three have angrily dismissed the accusations and brought counter-actions for defamation and calumny.
